The culture I chose is about beauty. I chose this theme because some people didn't know that the beauty is not how she looks outside it is how she nice from inside. I was interested in this topic because it relates to the community that we lives in.
My first short story talking about a very beautiful girl. She rejected all her suitors waiting for a handsome prince. She married him because he is a prince and handsome after when they getting married she thought he is wonderful and nice but she found out he is selfish and mean. She rejected them because she want to be a princess. She didn't want to stay with him anymore she want to leave him but he didn't allow her and he locked the door. The guards was watching her and one of the guard felt pity for the princess. She has to make her face ugly and that's the only way she can leave. The guard who was taking care of her fall in love with her, So the guard gives her dagger to make her face ugly when the prince saw her ugly he told everyone she's died because she come ugly. The guard the only one who like her after when she getting ugly because he like her from inside not how she look from outside.
In the article The Beauty, the writer doesn't have self-confidence. Beauty is something crucial of course, but it doesn't mean only the good shape or the beautiful face. In other words, beauty is not only from outside. In order to be beauty, you have to be self-confidence and have an inside beauty that reflects on your overall shape. The writer is comparing himself with his girlfriend. She is young and beautiful but he is getting old, and soon will have wrinkled skin that make him feel ugly. Comparing yourself with other people will make you lose trust in yourself. We all are different, and each one of us has a different, special thing that makes us who we are. Everything changes, and nothing stays the same. Even the moon has a cycle and disappears from the sky. Even the flowers, the beauty of nature have a limited period and then will lose it charming look and lose it lovely smell. Just like us, when we were kids, we all were beautiful, filled with life, cheerfulness, and happiness. As getting older, the spirit of happiness is backing down turning us into different person than we were.
A woman's beauty, the author tells us that it's all about the perfect balance of light and dark in her whole face and figure. He never says he's in love with her, but the reader can guess that he's attracted to her – after all, he can't stop talking about her hair, her eyes, and her cheeks. She's so innocent! Her "mind is at peace"! There's nothing going on between them, honest! At least… not on her side. By the end of the poem, the author said that the lady is pure and that her "love is innocent,"
True beauty is from the inside not from how she looks from the outside. for example, beauty is like how you feel not how you look. True beauty is based on personality. When the author talks about true love its describe the relationship that is faithful and respectful.
The true beauty is not about the way she look, wear, or even how her hair look. The true beauty is about how she looks from inside, and about how much her soul is good, or how much she has goodness. There is a lot of women who are beautiful, but their personality is so ugly.
New things i learned from the collections that i chose are beauty come within, to looking inside of the person not outside, and actions of people can be part of the beauty. For example some people have a lot of beauty but ugly inside, it surprised me because in the poem the prince was so handsome, but he was mean and selfish.
